Prof. Andreas Greger

Prof. Andreas Greger studied cello with Prof. Josef Schwab at the Academy of Music Hanns Eisler Berlin. Postgraduate studies at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest with e.g. György Kurtág, László Mezö and Miklós Perényi. Prizes in competitions e.g. 1986 Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. Since 1986 principal cellist with the Staatskapelle Berlin and soloist in radio recordings and concerts in Germany and abroad. Concerts with e.g. the Staatskapelle Berlin, the Berlin Symphony Orchestra and the Grand Radio Orchestra Berlin. Member of the Gaede Trio with numerous CD recordings for e.g. Tacet, SONY and Largo Records. Musical collaboration with e.g. Wolfgang Schulz, Markus Schirmer, Asher Fish, Javier Perianes. As teacher involvement in the founding phase of the Seville Music Academy of the Barenboim-SaidFoundation. Since 1999 honorary professor for cello at the Academy of Music Hanns Eisler Berlin.
