The Conference of Directors of the Musikhochschulen in the Federal Republic of Germany has decided to charge a fee of 30.- € per candidate for participation in the admission procedure at all German music colleges, irrespective of the intended course of study.
This fee is intended to minimize the high staff costs incurred in the preparation and carrying out of the admission procedure (e.g. providing examination boards for the individual principal subjects, compulsory piano, music theory, harmony and aural training, often in a multistage selection process).
Proof of payment - the requirement for and your entitlement to participation in the admission procedure - must be submitted with the application documents.
The pay-in slip must be countersigned by the relevant financial institution; slips not countersigned may only be submitted with the bank statement.
Pay-in slips which are not countersigned and are submitted without a bank statement will unfortunately not be recognised as having been submitted and will not entitle the applicant to participation in the admission procedure.
Failure to appear at the entrance examinations, including advance withdrawal of the application, does not entitle the applicant to a refund of the fee.
The 30,- € are to be paid as follows:
