Carte plaisir combines concerts with good food at lunchtime, creating a framework for informal business discussions. Members of the teaching staff, guests, students and graduates of the Academy provide the musical quality, the restaurant Lutter & Wegner the culinary delights of "carte plaisir". Clemens Goldberg presents and explains the musical programmes.
"(this type of concert)...aims to allow music to make an impression, as the listener discovers undreamt-of horizons. This happens by means of easily comprehensible explanations and through dialogue with the musicians on stage. Details can be heard many times and in different contexts. Music tells stories about the time in which it was written and about the composers, but above all music continually tells new stories to new listeners."
