Prof. Johannes Kittel

Prof. Johannes Kittel, first violin lessons at the age of 10. Attended the Spezialschule für Musik Berlin, 1969-1976 studied with Prof. Eberhard Feltz at the Academy of Music Hanns Eisler Berlin. During his studies took part regularly in vacation courses with Max Rostal, Juri Jankelewitsch and Eugenia Tschugajewa. Prizewinner in the International Instrumental Competition in Markneukirchen, the Chamber Music Competition in Schwerin with a string quartet which he founded. 1976-79 1st violin in the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, until 1992 in the Staatskapelle Berlin. From 1974 Johannes Kittel taught at the Academy of Music Hanns Eisler Berlin. Since 1999 head of the violin department at the Carl Phillip Emanuel Bach specialist music school. 2005 appointed guest professor at the Academy of Music Hanns Eisler Berlin.
