The Bachelor of Music is the first academic degree that can be obtained at the Academy of Music 'Hanns Eisler'. 'Hanns Eisler' offers Bachelor programmes for every orchestral instrument, guitar, saxophone, paino, voice, directing (in musical theatre), composition, choir conducting, orchestra conducting, coaching as well as historical and contemporary harmony. All Bachelor programmes have a duration of 8 semesters (4 years)/are 4-year programmes (8 semesters).

As postgraduate studies the Academy of Music 'Hanns Eisler' offers various Master programmes by which a Master of Music can be achieved. All Master programmes require a Bachelor, Diplom or equivalent degree and are 2-year programmes (4 semesters).
