Prof. Wolf-Dieter Batzdorf

Prof. Wolf-Dieter Batzdorf studied violin in Berlin and Moscow. Prizewinner in the 1977 "Bach Competition" in Leipzig. Leader of the Berlin Symphony Orchestra. 1977 appointed to the Staatskapelle and first violin in the Berlin String Quartet. Concerts in Europe, Asia and America as well as numerous radio, TV and disc recordings. Principal leader of the Staatskapelle Berlin.
Since 1990 honorary professor for violin at the Academy of Music Hanns Eisler Berlin.
