Workshops & Masterclasses
Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin regularly hosts public orchestra workshops and masterclasses: Internationally renowned artists work with students at the school. So far, conductors such as Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Daniel Barenboim, Kent Nagano, Sir Simon Rattle, Christian Thielemann, Seiji Ozawa and Zubin Mehta have rehearsed with the chamber and symphony orchestras. Midori and Thomas Quasthoff have worked in masterclasses with violin and voice students respectively. These public events are held in the Studiosaal at the school, at Konzerthaus Berlin and in the Kammermusiksaal of the Philharmonie. In the series “Masterclasses Fridays at 6” lecturers present themselves with their artistic specialization and offer their insights in conversation.
Information on future workshops and masterclasses is made available on our events program.
Tickets are available through the school’s ticket service.
