DAAD Scholarships

Our International Office, together with the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), administers DAAD funded scholarships and stipends. If you are interested in applying for a DAAD scholarship which is not listed, you are welcome to contact the International Office.

RequirementsInternational students who are completing their programmes within one year.

  • Assessment from main subject instructor regarding whether they expect the student to successfully complete their studies by the end of the regular study period.
  • Bank statements from the last 12 months
  • For applicants with financial need: please provide documentation of this need.

PROMOS Project Funding

Scholarship AmountAccording to the rates fixed by the DAAD in the form of travel expenses, travel expenses and course fees and/or partial scholarship rates

  • Exchanges: 1 to 6 months
  • Language Course: 3 weeks to 6 months
  • Short-term courses: up to 6 weeks
  • Study and competition trips: 12 days maximum

Selection Process

Round 1: On the basis of the application documents submitted in the department, according to outstanding professional performance as well as social and intercultural engagement

Round 2: Audition for a cross-disciplinary selection committee, generally taking place during HfM's Konzertexamen and Masterclass audition exam.
