It is with deep sadness that we have learnt of the death of our violin professor, Stephan Picard, who passed away completely unexpectedly and far too soon at the age of just 65. With his passing, our school has lost an outstanding teacher and a highly esteemed colleague.

The Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft has awarded its 2026 Music Prize to master’s student Benjamin Günst from Prof. Antje Weithaas’s violin class; the prize includes a cash award of 15,000 euros and the opportunity to perform at prestigious festivals.
