Eisler Sinfonietta

With Krása, Ullmann, Koffler, Mahler, and Schoenberg, we dedicate this evening to five composers of Jewish origin. Their works were subjected to antisemitic defamation even before 1933, banned in the Third Reich, and some of them are still rarely performed today.

The Spanish violinist Cibrán Sierra Vázquez founded his string quartet Cuarteto Quiroga in 2003. This masterclass marks his first visit to the Eisler School of Music, where he will also give a lecture on "Score reading – Building an interpretation" (in English).
