Giorgio Lazzari wins the Premio Renzo Giubergia with Duo Rodin

The Duo Rodin, consisting of violinist Sofia Manvati and pianist Giorgio Lazzari from Prof. Jonathan Aner's piano chamber music class, has won the Premio Renzo Giubergia 2025, worth €13,000. Duo Rodin was selected as the winner from 26 participating ensembles and, in addition to the prize money, received a concert performance at the De Sono Associazione per la Musica in Turin.
After completing his master's degree in piano with Prof. Kirill Gerstein, Giorgio Lazzari is currently completing a master's degree at the Eisler Chamber Music Centre with Prof. Jonathan Aner. He is a prize winner of the International Telekom Beethoven Competition in Bonn and the Robert Schumann Competition in Düsseldorf. He performs internationally as a soloist and with orchestras, including at the Ruhr Piano Festival, the Staatsoper Unter den Linden, the Schumannfest Düsseldorf, the Beethovenfest Bonn, the Festival d'Aix en Provence, the Bonner Schumannfest, Vaduz Classic, the Società Filarmonica di Trento, the Festival Pianistico Internazionale di Brescia e Bergamo, Milano Musica, Amici della Musica di Padova, Kirchheimbolanden Festival, GIA Brescia, Musica Insieme Bologna, Teatro Ponchielli di Cremona, Trame Sonore and Harmonies en Livradois.
In addition to his solo career, Giorgio is intensely devoted to chamber music, particularly in a duo with violinist Sofia Manvati, with whom he founded the Duo Rodin.
The Giubergia Foundation, in collaboration with De Sono, awards an annual prize to promising young musicians under the age of 27. Since 2022, the focus of the collaboration has been on chamber music.
