Sueye Park appointed to a professorship at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna

The violinist, a graduate of the Eisler School from Prof. Ulf Wallin’s class, has been Professor of Violin at the renowned Austrian University of the Arts since March 2026.

Sueye Park, a 26-year-old violinist and graduate of the Eisler School, has been appointed Professor of Violin at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw) for the 2026 summer semester, where she now teaches her own violin class. The professorship is initially a fixed-term appointment until September 2027.

Born in Daegu, South Korea, in 2000, Sueye Park was accepted into Prof. Ulf Wallin’s class at the Eisler School as a young student at the age of nine. She subsequently completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and is currently working towards her concert exam. From 2022 to 2023, she was Prof. Wallin’s assistant and has held a teaching post for violin at the Eisler since 2023.

As a soloist and chamber musician, she performs regularly in Germany and internationally. She has been awarded numerous prizes at national and international competitions, including first prize at the 13th International Jean Sibelius Violin Competition in Helsinki in 2025. In July 2026, she will make her debut at the Royal Albert Hall in London as part of the BBC Proms.
