Successful engagements in the horn class

The horn class of Prof. Sibylle Mahni and previously of Prof. Marie-Luise Neunecker has been able to announce several far-reaching successes and engagements in the last few weeks and months: Cristiana Neves Custódio became principal horn player with the Essen Philharmonic, Efe Sivritepe received a temporary contract as assistant soloist with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin (DSO Berlin), Pedro Ribeiro got a temporary contract as principal horn player with the Frankfurt Opera and Museum Orchestra, Sarah Ennouhi won a position as principal horn player with the Dresden Philharmonic and Julius Hochwimmer became a member of the Philharmonic Orchestra Kiel.

Most recently, Mercedes Gutierrez Dominguez won the audition for a permanent position low horn with the Duisburg Philharmonic, and Jakob Hutterer has just signed a temporary contract for 4th horn at the Semperoper in the Staatskapelle Dresden.

Maria Lourenço Pinheiro won first prize at the national music competition “Prémio Jovens Músicos” in Portugal, Gil Barak was given a permanent position at the Neue Philharmonie Westfalen, Daniel Dubrovsky received a scholarship at the Zermatt Festival Academy and Villa Musica and also worked for the Anhalt Philharmonic Dessau.
