Roman Borisov wins Kissinger Piano Olympus 2022

The 19-year-old pianist Roman Borisov is in the second semester of his Bachelor's degree with Prof. Eldar Nebolsin at the Eisler and won first prize in this year's renowned PianoOlymp competition in Bad Kissingen. For the 20th time since 2003, outstanding young talents from six nations presented themselves to a specialist jury and an interested public. The final concert on October 9, 2022 will be broadcast on the BR Klassik radio program on October 29.

The multiple prize winner of international competitions Roman Borisov previously studied at the Novosibirsk State Conservatory with Prof. Mary Lebenzon and has already played with orchestras such as the Russian National Philharmonic, the Academic Symphony Orchestra Novosibirsk, at the Festival International de Colmar, Verbier Festival, Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Menuhin Festival Gstaad, Piano Festival Ruhr and in the Laeiszhalle Hamburg. In 2022/23 he has been invited, among other, for a CD recording and concerts with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra.

Roman Borisov is being supported at Hanns Eisler with a Deutschlandstipendium, which is co-financed by Hansen & Heinrich AG.
