FAQs Practicing and Teaching
In keeping with the distancing and hygiene rules, practising is currently only possible for students to practise individually. Should you realise that your ASIMUT account is blocked for room booking, please send an e-mail and add your current mobile number to ueben(at)hfm-berlin.de.
Most students and instructors are already actively using EislerCloud, which is accessible with an HfM email address. All important information is available in the following folders:
- “Infos Eisler eCampus“: Information on tools, technical instructions and tips for digital instruction
- “Corona-Maßnahmen“: Information on current measures and regulations (e.g. access to the practice rooms in the Marstall building)
- “Gremien an der HFM“: Documents of the Academic Senate
FAQs Organising studies
In the interest of the students, the State of Berlin has increased the standard period of study for the summer semester 2020, the winter semester 2020-21, the summer semester 2021 and the winter semester 2021-22 individually by one semester.
For students of the school who are or were enrolled in these semesters and whose studies were significantly affected by the worldwide COVID 19 pandemic, an individual standard period of study that deviates from the general standard period of study “Regelstudienzeit” and is extended by one semester in each case applies. This, however, does not apply for students who had already reached the upper limit of semesters of “Regelstudienzeit” at the end of the 2019-20 winter semester. The individual extension is calculated according to the status of the students in the semesters mentioned. The extended, individual standard period of study does not apply to semesters in which the students were on leave of absence.
The individual standard period of study is intended to ensure that pandemic-related delays in studies, for example, do not have a detrimental effect on the maximum period of BAföG funding. You can obtain a certificate of your individual standard period of study from the Enrolment and Examinations Office.
You can reach the Student Advising Offices by e-mail and telephone. If you would like an advising appointment, please book it in advance at: www.hfm-berlin.de/en/studies/during-your-studies/advising-counselling/
