Department B - Strings, Harp, Guitar

General Information

Our courses of study for strings, harp and guitar include private lessons in the core subject and correpetition as well as fundamental training in the areas of methodology, music theory, ear training and musicology. Piano lessons and an emphasis on chamber music projects and school ensembles complement your studies through an intensive practice-oriented component. Participation in the school symphony orchestra and choir are an integral part of the course. Tuition in essential physiological and psychological aspects of musicianship and practice, as well as career path support (legal studies, self management, promotion) complete the courses. During the course, focus may be placed on chamber music or education. Students of violin, viola, cello, double bass and harp can also choose thecompulsory optional subject of orchestra. In harp studies, students receive advanced voice training.
