This year’s orientation weeks will take place from 3 until 20 April and is a great opportunity to learn more about Hanns Eisler, your new course of study, as well as matriculate and register for classes. You will be able to meet relevant contact persons in the administration, as well as lecturers and fellow students.
The official lecture period begins 9 April. On 9 April Patrons and Friends of Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin e. V. will host an official welcome event.

Members of the student parliament (StuPa) and the AStA (general students committee) will introduce themselfs and their work at HfM. You will have the chance to hear directly from seasoned students what the school life and the first few weeks will be like. All students will have the chance to hear more about the AStA mentoring programme as well as sign up, if they are interested.

The German Historical Museum is located in Berlin's historical Mitte district. As Germany's natural history museum, it portrays a variety of insights in the national history of Germany while also considering the international implications of said history.
Through this tour, you will be able to explore the museum and learn more about topics such as the divison and reunification of Germany as well as resistance and protest in the 20th century. The focus of our tour will be art and music.
The tour will take place in English.

Patrons and Friends of Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin e. V. will welcome new students to Hanns Eisler with a coffee, cake and snack reception.
Our President, women's affairs officer, the AStA and representatives of major and minor subjects will be in attendance as well to welcome all new students.

After having a cup of coffee, you will be seperated into small groups according to your study programmes. Department chairs will inform you about relevant subject topics.
Guided City Tour „Female Musicians in Berlin - Historical Traces“
Meeting point: Foyer, Charlottenstraße 55, 10117 Berlin
Musicologist Dr. Nicole Restle will guide a tour through Berlin's historical Mitte district. Her tour will focus on the biographies of musicians and their work as composers, instrumentalists, conductors, and singers in different Berlin institutions over the past 250 years. The tour will connect the two buildings of the school.
Meet and Greet
All new and returning students are invited to spend an evening getting to know one another at a local cafe and bar, Café Chagall. The event ist organized by the AStA.
