At this year's 12th International Chamber Music Competition ‘Franz Schubert and the Music of Modernism’ in Graz, the Trio Brontë won 1st prize and also received a special prize from the extended jury for a CD production. The Bernstein Trio won 3rd prize. Three ensembles from the Eisler piano chamber music class took part in the piano trio category, and the Goldmund Trio also reached the final round.

Just a few weeks ago in January 2025, the Bernstein Trio and the Trio Brontë won first and second prize at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University Competition in Berlin. The university can also look back on a remarkable success story at the Graz Chamber Music Competition: in 2022, first prize went to the Trio Orelon, while in 2018, the Trio Marvin was awarded second prize when first prize was not awarded.

Founded in Berlin in 2022, the Trio Brontë - with Chiara Sannicandro (violin), Lili Bogdanova (piano) and Annie Jacobs-Perkins (cello) - studies as an ensemble with Prof. Jonathan Aner and has received additional tuition from Prof. Antje Weithaas, Prof. Troels Svane and Prof. Eldar Nebolsin.

The Bernstein Trio was founded in 2022 with Roman Tulchynsky (violin), Marei Schibilsky (cello) and Julia Stephan (piano). The three musicians met at the Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach Music High School in Berlin and are now studying at the Berlin University of the Arts and the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin. As an ensemble, they receive lessons from Prof. Jonathan Aner at the Eisler Centre for Chamber Music.
