The chamber orchestra of Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin is an artistic ensemble within the school’s educational concept. The first concerts took place in the Quartier 206 Atrium and the Apollo-Saal of the Berlin State Opera. Later on, a cooperation between Berliner Philharmoniker Foundation and Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin came into being, under which the chamber orchestra carried out, amongst others, an orchestra workshop with Sir Simon Rattle.

The chamber orchestra was also engaged in the benefit concerts of the Association of the Society of Friends and Patrons of Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin: In the Deutsche Bank Atrium, the ensemble performed with Thomas Quasthoff and Jochen Kowalski, and in the Neuer Marstall, it performed at the opening ceremony. Soloists include both students and lecturers at the school, the conductors are professors and guest artists.
