Welcome to the Hanns Eisler! During the Welcome Weeks you can find out about your studies and plan your courses. There are many opportunities to get to know fellow students, lecturers and other relevant contact persons and to find out about what the school has to offer.
The official lecture period begins 4 October.
30.08. Intro Eisler eCampus
In the first part of the digital meeting, you will learn which important services the Eisler eCampus provides for your studies. In the second part, we will address possible problems with the registration of your courses. Please prepare for the meeting by booking your courses. Detailed information on this will be provided to students starting in the winter semester 2022-23 in the 2nd week of August.
We recommend participation with a PC or tablet.
Course registration for the winter semester 2022-23 is possible until 31 August.
04.10. Welcome Reception with important contact persons

The Student Advising Team cordially invites all first-year students to the Welcome Reception on the first day of lectures. There you can get to know important contact persons from different departments, representatives of the of the Society of Friends and Patrons (Förderverein) and the Student Union (AStA), as well as other counselling services offered by the school and your fellow students. At the get-together afterwards, you will have the opportunity to get to know them personally over coffee and snacks.

Promoting cultural literacy and intercultural dialogue is one of the main challenges of our time. Successful communication and peaceful sharing of space and resources in a globalized world depend on it. This interactive workshop with practical exercises offers an overview of three areas of knowledge which are central for the development of intercultural competences: intercultural communication, diversity and conflict management. (Strong) intercultural competences help individuals find common ground with others and (re)value differences. The workshop is open for all members of the school.

The Hanns Eisler welcomes the winter semester 2022-23 with a festive semester opening. Teachers and students of the Hanns Eisler and teachers of the Jazz Institute Berlin (JIB) will present the evening's musical programme.
