Alumnus Yu-An Chang New Principal Conductor of Taipei Chinese Orchestra

Alumnus Yu-An Chang becomes the new Principal Conductor of the Taipei Chinese Orchestra. He studied with Prof. Hans-Dieter Baum and Prof. Christian Ehwald and completed his studies at the Eisler in the 2021/22 winter semester in the conducting Meisterklasse. Taipei native Yu-An Chang was awarded 1st prize at the Bucharest International Conducting Competition in 2016. In 2018 he was named a Conducting Fellow of the Tanglewood Music Festival and was Assistant Conductor of the Boston Symphony Orchestra for two seasons until 2020. Since then he has worked with orchestras in Europe, Asia and America. Yu-An Chang replaces Qu Chun Quan at TCO. The Taipei Chinese Orchestra was founded in 1979 as Taiwan's first professional Chinese orchestra.
