  • Worldwide concerts as a pianist, with the Maria Baptist Trio and the Maria Baptist Orchestra (e. g. in the USA, Iceland, South Africa, Hong Kong, all over Europe)
  • Conducting renowned orchestras and performing her own compositions (e. g. with the Reykjavik, hr-, NDR Big Band, Jenaer Philharmonie, Budapest Jazz Orchestra, Big Band of the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Bundesjazzorchester)
  • Release of more than ten CDs as a soloist (including Arnold Schönberg's "Pierrot lunaire") and composer

  • Lecturer in numerous workshops abroad (e. g. University of Music and Theatre Munich, Academy of the Arts Reykjavik)
  • Since 2000 professor for historical and contemporary theory with majors in composition/arrangement, music theory and improvisation at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin
