The two Master's students Bruno Meichsner and Lucas Huber Sierra have been accepted as scholarship holders in the 2023/2024 Lied Academy of the "Heidelberger Frühling". The Lied Academy has been directed by US singer Thomas Hampson since 2011 and has since developed into one of the most important support programmes for singers and pianists. More than 150 Lied-enthusiastic pianists and singers applied in Heidelberg, and nine singers and three pianists were accepted.

Baritone Bruno Meichsner and pianist Lucas Huber Sierra are currently studying for a Master's degree at the Eisler in the classes of Prof Stephan Rügamer and Prof Wolfram Rieger. Lucas Huber Sierra previously completed a master's degree in piano solo at the Lübeck University of Music under Prof. Konrad Elser. Bruno Meichsner has been a permanent member of the Rundfunkchor Berlin since the 2023/24 season and was previously engaged as a choral soloist in the choir of the Komische Oper Berlin.

The "Heidelberger Frühling" Lied Academy is characterised by its intensive promotion of young musicians, in which great personalities of the Lied world such as Thomas Hampson, Gerold Huber, Malcolm Martineau and Wolfram Rieger teach in masterclasses in Berlin and Heidelberg. The young artists can also be heard in performances, some with specially curated programmes, at the Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin and at the Lied Festival in Heidelberg, including during the Schubert Week from 22 to 28 January 2024.
