In recent months, five alumni of the Voice Department have been successfully engaged as permanent ensemble members at opera houses and theatres in Hanover, Linz, Cottbus, Mainz and Basel. The Portuguese mezzo-soprano Beatriz Miranda has been a member of the Hanover State Theatre ensemble since the 23/24 season. She studied with Prof. Christine Schäfer at the Eisler until her master's degree in 2022. Seungjick Kim, tenor from South Korea and Master's student in the class of Prof. Ewa Wolak, joined the opera ensemble of the Landestheater Linz for the 23/24 season. In addition, the South Korean soprano and Eisler graduate Jieun Choi, who also studied with Prof. Ewa Wolak, was given a permanent position in the music theatre ensemble of the Cottbus State Theatre from the 23/24 season, having previously made her debut there in 2022 in the role of Mimi in Puccini's opera "La Boheme".

Tenor Collin André Schöning, who completed both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the Eisler in the class of Prof. Stephan Rügamer, joined the ensemble of Staatstheater Mainz in the 22/23 season, while Álfheiður Erla Guðmundsdóttir, soprano and Eisler graduate in the class of Prof. Michail Lanskoi, has been a member of the ensemble at Theater Basel since the 21/22 season.

The members of opera and music theatre ensembles are usually permanently employed by opera houses and theatres and take on the solo roles in the various productions.
