Vera-Lotte Boecker and David Herrmann win theatre prize DER FAUST
Soprano and Eisler graduate Vera-Lotte Boecker has been awarded the German Theatre Prize "DER FAUST" for her role in the opera "Bluthaus" by Georg Friedrich Haas at the Bavarian State Opera, which was performed in 2022 as part of the music theatre festival "Ja, Mai" as a co-production with the Residenztheater Munich. Vera-Lotte Boecker studied at the Eisler in the class of Prof. Thomas Quasthoff.
The German-French opera director David Herrmann was also awarded the prestigious theatre prize for his production of the world premiere of Gordon Kampe's opera "Dogville" at the Aalto Theater Essen. He studied music theatre directing at the Eisler.
DER FAUST is a prize from theatre professionals for theatre professionals, which has been awarded in individual categories by the German Stage Association together with the German Academy of Performing Arts and the Cultural Foundation of the Federal States since 2006. 2023 award ceremony took place at the Thalia Theatre in Hamburg.
